The Panamera Concept.

Can a vision be logical? Is it even allowed to be? Probably not. We believe that the more visionary an idea at the start, the more exciting it is at the end. Then it's worth fighting for. That was the case with the Panamera. A sports car for four? With impressive performance and great comfort? With the dynamism typical of Porsche and simultaneously more efficient? Many said it was impossible. Others called it brave.

  • Performance

The Porsche Panamera pairs a separate engine with each trim level, offering seven engine options in total. The base engine that comes standard with the Panamera is a 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6 that makes 325 horsepower and 331 pound-feet of torque. Moving to the Panamera 4S trim offers drivers a modified 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine that makes 443 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque. The GTS trim level takes things a step further, replacing the 2.9-liter engine with a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces 473 horsepower and 457 pound-feet of torque. The Turbo S trim features a modified version of the 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 that makes 620 horsepower and 604 pound-feet of torque.

E-Performance, electromobility and the sports car of the future.

The E-Hybrid version of the Panamera offers up three distinct engine options. The 4 E-Hybrid trim comes with a 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6 hybrid engine that makes 455 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. The 4S E-Hybrid steps things up by offering drivers a tweaked 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6 hybrid that makes 552 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque. The top of the line Turbo S E-E Hybrid is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that manages 689 horsepower and 642 pound-feet of torque. Rear-wheel drive is standard with most trim levels while all-wheel drive is either standard or an available upgrade (depending on the trim selected). All trims pair with an 8-speed automatic dual-clutch transmission.

Tech features are quite impressive even from the base trim. Standard tech offerings include Apple CarPlay, a navigation system, a 10-speaker audio system, and Bluetooth connectivity. Upper trim trims allow for increased tech features. For instance, the Panamera Turbo S adds a Bose 14-speaker audio system. Upper trims also allow for increased tech thanks to features like a 21-speaker Burmester audio system and a head-up display.

    Head-Up Display.

The Head-Up Display projects relevant vehicle information directly into your field of vision. For example, driving speed, navigation data and driving modes can be displayed clearly in front of the driver.

Drivers can enjoy a long list of interior features that range from comfort to convenience in nature. The base Panamera trim comes standard with a panoramic moonroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, and a power tailgate. Moving to the GTS trim adds in leather/Alacantara upholstery, heated 18-way power seats, and memory front seats. The Turbo S trim adds leather-trimmed seats while the Turbo S E-Hybrid trim adds heated rear seats and 14-way power front seats with memory functionality.

Safety features can be divided into driver assistance and classic equipment. Driver assistance features can be added to the Porsche Panamera as separate upgrades. The Assistance package includes adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, lane-keeping assistance, and night vision. The Porsche Panamera also offers up blind-spot monitoring.
